For those playing at home I live in Melbourne, and despite being plagued with a disgusting cold, my friend Bridget and I embarked on a miniature road trip because it was the only day we both had off in a very, very long time.
First we ventured away from the city down to a small slightly bogan-ish town called Moe where we had vegie slice and watermelon made by the ever so lovely Grandma Betty (Bridget’s Nan), and proceeded to Monash University Gippsland where one of our dear friend’s Chloe is studying.
We spent the night, things got a little bit rowdy, we met some lovely people despite feeling a wee bit like a pair of obese fishes out of water, my cold is now 10 times worse than it was before we left (but it was worth it). I took photos. Not of the fish, or of snot, but of us and our surroundings.
Here are some favourites from our 48 hours spent at the Gipp…

Lesson Learned? Don’t judge a town by its name or its cultural stereotype!
